Job Title: Zinc Raw Material Purchaser
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Luxembourg/Remote
Salary: Negotiable 

Imperium Commodity Search is working with an international metals trading house/distributor looking to add a Secondary Zinc raw material purchaser/sourcing agent to their team in Luxembourg.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with counterparties for the purchase of secondary zinc raw materials across Europe and the Middle East
  • Purchase secondary zinc raw material in line with demand from the commercial team for processing at aligned smelters
  • Work with senior management on purchasing strategy, negotiations and supply agreements
  • Negotiate commercially aggressive deals with suppliers of secondary ores and scrap zinc products
  • Travel to build relationships with suppliers across Europe
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of the global zinc markets and identify opportunities for timely purchase of zinc raw material

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a zinc sourcing role
  • Excellent knowledge of secondary raw materials and global markets
  • Ability to travel
  • Fluent in English (additional European language a benefit)
