Imperium Commodity Search is retained by an international Oil Trading House covering both the physical and paper markets in several key and growing energy asset classes. The firm has continued to leverage upon their recent success from both their physical assets and global trading department in the Crude and Distillates markets. We are seeking an experienced Trade Finance Executive / Manager to work directly with the firm’s CFO to take ownership of the trade finance department.
With vast experience in the global oil and products trading space, you will be responsible for managing key relations with Banks, financial institutions, LCs, deal structuring and day-to-day trade finance operations working directly with the CFO and Managing director covering all trading offices (Dubai, London, Geneva).
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing the trade finance process from start to end including draft, proposal, negotiation through to completion.
- Handling relations with banks and financial institutions providing full clarity on the company functions and trading activities.
- Ability to work with the banks and financial institutions on establishing LC’s (Letters of Credit) for the companies trading activities within the Crude Oil, Gasoline, Jet Fuel, Gasoil, and related energy products.
- Responsible for Drafting and Proposing Letters of Credit meeting full compliance regulations across MENA, Europe, APAC and the Americas.
- Work closely with the senior management and senior traders across the international offices ensuring full clarity on LC’s and Trade finance requirements.
- Maintain close relations with the local and international banks, maintaining a positive financial representation of the group accounts.
Experience:
- 5 years’ experience in a Trade Finance / Executive OR experience in a Trade Finance Management position within a trading house.
- A degree in Finance, Accounting or a relevant field of study would be beneficial.
- Understanding of international business structure from a financial or trading perspective
- Confident in production compliant LC’s (letters of credit) With strong negotiating abilities.
- Experience working within an Oil trading company.
