Imperium Commodity Search has been retained by a Global Financial Institute & Commodity Brokerage who are leading the way in market expansion and Client services. With an International footprint across all Asset classes the North American Energy business is continuing to expand its market offerings, we are currently seeking a Tanker Broker/Team in Houston or across multiple locations in the USA to integrate into the firm’s business. With teams in Europe and Asia successfully covering this sector. our client offers a dynamic approach along with innovative technology to succeed in this competitive market.

Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for managing a product group within Tanker Brokerage market, building out a team in North America to work with the London, Singapore and other international desks globally.
• Manage relationships with Customers within the Tanker market, Shipowners, Operators, Trading Houses, Suppliers, Refiners, Traders,
• Responsible for offering charter broking services for a Variety of Vessel classes (ULCC, VLCC, Suezmax, Panamax, Handy Max Etc)
• Produce up to date market / Pricing analysis liaising within in house Analysts and research houses (Bloomberg, Reuters, Argus etc) for the Tanker Market segment.
• The desk will be responsible for offering Brokerage Services within their specialist market across (Spot Charter, Time Charter, Projects, etc)
• Identify new business opportunities within the Tanker Segment across Clean Petroleum Products (CPP), Dirty Petroleum Products (DPP), Chemical and Specialty markets.

Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience working within a Ship Brokerage or Owner providing charter brokerage services to the Tanker Market.
• Previous experience within a Broking capacity covering the Tanker segment across CPP, DPP, Specialty OR Chemical markets.
• Experience Offering Time Charter, Spot Charter, Project or Charter services to customers within the Tanker Segment.
• Knowledge of all Operational and Charter documentation required, experience negotiating and executing contracts with clients.
• Transferable Portfolio of Tanker Brokerage business, or part of a team looking to move to a company that can offer the support and innovation needed to succeed within the competitive market.
• US Citizenship or existing work permit required
