Imperium Commodity Search has a new opportunity for an experienced Shipbroker to join their global team of experienced brokers focused on the Specialty Chemicals sector. The company has a long-standing presence within the International market with offices located in the Americas, Europe and Asia. The company has a well-structured approach to a competitive market with ability to execute individual requirements of their Global Clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Build Relations with Chemical producers, Traders, Ship owners, Operators within the Specialty Chemicals markets across Europe, Asia and US.
  • Responsible for tanker broking within the chemicals sector across Time charter and spot Charter.
  • Promote the company’s research and analytics offerings producing Daily, Weekly, Monthly reports.
  • Negotiate margins and costings for the charter of Specialty Tankers for international and Domestic Voyage.
  • Analyze the chemicals markets to understand future demand within specific geographies, liaising with Mid / Back office departments to full effect.

Experience:

  • Experience in Tanker Broking – Preferably current experience on the Specialty chemicals market.
  • Previous experience producing up to date and accurate market reports on the tanker markets.
  • Key understanding of the Domestic and international demand for the charter of specialty tankers.
  • Travel required to meet with International clients looking to bring business across the Americas, Europe and Asia.
  • Located in the Netherlands or Spain (Willing to relocate)
