Title: Physical Organic & Specialty Grains Trader

Imperium Commodity Search is working with a dynamic Agricultural trading company a division of an established commodities business. With a focus on trading Physical grains and products across the North American & Domestic markets across livestock and consumption markets and a growing trade on Organics and Specialty Crops, our client is seeking to grow the team with the addition of a specialty and organic grains trader in Canada
Responsibilities:
- Trade Physical Organics And specialty crops ( Wheat, Corn, Soybeans, Barley, Peas, Lentils, Grains Etc)
- Ensure communication and cooperation with operations teams working on logistics cross border US/ Canada.
- Build Relations with the Domestic Suppliers, Farmers, Traders and Elevators to maintain strong Market presence.
- Identify Market trends and market flow to spot trade opportunities to increase profitability.
- Responsible for supporting Junior traders and managing own trade portfolio and PnL.
Experience:
- 3 years’ experience trading organic and specialty crops across the North American and domestic markets.
- Existing portfolio of business across (Wheat, Corn, Soybeans, Barley, Peas, Lentils, Grains etc)
- Understanding of the operations and logistics side of the business across US / Canada and cross border operations by rail or truck
- Located In Vancouver Or ability to work remotely within the US/Canada.
- Proficient in English (French or Spanish Highly desirable)
