Imperium Commodity Search is confidentially retained by a fast-growing international maritime trading and brokerage platform to appoint an experienced Sale & Purchase / Projects Shipbroker (Tanker Business).
Operating at the intersection of ship brokerage, asset advisory and commodity trading, the firm combines transactional expertise with access to capital, counterparties and market intelligence. As part of its continued expansion, the business is building out its tanker S&P and projects capability across Europe and the Middle East.
This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced Tanker S&P Shipbroker seeking greater autonomy, access to capital-backed transactions and a clear pathway to building and scaling a desk.
The Role – Tanker S&P & Projects
As a Sale & Purchase / Projects Shipbroker, you will:
- Originate and execute tanker sale & purchase transactions across wet markets
- Develop and manage relationships with shipowners, buyers, sellers, trading houses and investors
- Advise on vessel valuation, acquisition strategy and asset positioning
- Structure and support project-led transactions, including acquisitions and refinancing
- Work closely with internal finance and credit teams, as well as external capital providers
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tanker markets, asset values and macro drivers
- Contribute to the strategic growth of the tanker S&P and projects desk
Experience & Skills
We would welcome discussions with candidates who have:
- 3+ years’ experience in Tanker Sale & Purchase Shipbroking
- Strong network across shipowners, counterparties and trading houses
- Experience executing S&P transactions within wet markets
- Commercial mindset with strong business development capability
- Interest or exposure to asset-backed or structured maritime transactions (advantageous)
- Fluency in English (additional languages beneficial)
- Ability to be based in Copenhagen or Dubai
