Salary – Negotiable based on experience
Imperium Commodity Search is working with a growing commodity trading house specializing in the sales and purchase of physical Raw Materials used in the production of Steel. The operations team based in Singapore is currently looking to add another Shipping Operations professional to join the desk.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate day-to-day operations of company vessels as well as those chartered in
- Guarantee compliance of industry legislations and company policies are always adhered to
- Work alongside Chartering team, Shipping agent and Masters/Captains where necessary to make sure appropriate actions are taken in relation to cargo/ships, operations, and procedures
- Ensure vessels and cargo arrive on time by delivering updated information about port information and possible congestions
- Organize efficient travel so cargos are delivered in a timely manner in accordance with safety protocols while ensuring relevant settlements and documentation is completed
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Captain/ Master
- 3+ years hands on experience within shipping operations at a commodity trading company preferably within the raw materials/ mining sector
- Excellent organizational skills and time management
- Strong knowledge of shipping and legislation/policies surrounding trade
- Must speak Mandarin and English fluently
- Need to have Singapore work permit/ eligibility (non-negotiable)
