Senior Supply Trader (Bunkers)

Title: Senior Supply Trader – Bunkers

Imperium Commodity Search is working closely with an established shipping and trading company with global offices.  To facilitate the next phase of this growth, our client is looking to add an experienced senior Supply Trader covering bunker / marine fuels across the Americas to support their strong global team of customer traders.

Responsibilities:

• Actively grow the grows relations with Physical suppliers within the Americas North, Central and South.
• Manage the purchasing of bunkers across the US and manage/ liaise with suppliers in ports across the US.
• Efficiently deal with incoming bunker fuel enquiries and ensure timely delivery/movement of marine fuel.
• Negotiate supply agreements with physical suppliers in ports where the company does not have assets to ensure higher margins/PnL on the desk
• Coordinate with other traders and operators within the group constantly to understand bunker / marine fuel requirements for the US.

Experience:

• More than 3 years’ working with an Oil Major within the marine fuels sector, Physical bunker Supplier, Back to Back trading House.
• Relations with oil majors and suppliers within all major ports across North Americas (Knowledge of South and Central Markets is an asset)
• Experience in purchasing bunkers and efficient with all relevant documentations.
• Extensive knowledge of bunker markets legislation including IMO 2020
• Fluency in English is necessary with an additional language preferable
