Title: Senior Rice Trader

Imperium Commodity Search is recruiting on behalf of a global commodity trading house specialising in soft commodity products. The team in Singapore are looking to expand their product offering by the addition of a Senior Rice Trader.
We are not looking for anyone trading specialty products.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complete PnL accountability for Rice portfolio
- Grow and develop existing physical portfolio of rice across US/ Middle East/ Asia/ Europe/ Africa
- Travel to various locations globally to meet prospective and existing clients across rice business
- Sell rice products to target markets to develop portfolio and bring in new business for company
- Develop new relationships with producers within the rice industry across Europe/ Asia/ Middle East/ Africa/ US
- Network with other rice industry professionals across media platforms, conferences and other events across soft commodities to develop your name in the market and remain aware of trends and changes to the market
- Work to open up new markets and trading strategies across Rice for the business
Requirements:
- Must previously have worked within a senior trading position at a trading company focussed on trading physical soft commodities
- Existing contacts and clients in the rice industry across producers and end users
- Excellent understanding of the soft commodity market with a focus on rice
- Willing to travel to meet clients wherever necessary to develop business
- Permitted to work in Singapore
