Imperium Commodity Search is currently representing a Global supplier and Trading house within the Bunker & Cargo sector, the firm is currently seeking an experienced Physical / Supply trader for its Athens office. The company is operating multiple physical operations supported by its world-wide trading division located across major shipping hubs globally.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing Customer/Sales traders with pricing, operations, supply needs to win Bunker enquiries within Greece.
  • Manage and build further supply relations with suppliers within the major Greek ports as well as the further MED region.
  • Work closely with the traders within the group to cover the firm’s Physical operation within Greece to provide all necessary support to execute trades successfully.
  • Negotiate Supply deals on both a spot & contract basis for Bunkers, Marine fuels, MGO, LSFO, Lubricants etc.
  • Provide Hedging and Risk management services on behalf of the company to optimize GP for purchasing and supply of Marine fuels.
  • Work closely with the Physical operations team and customer / Sales traders to optimize enquiry success rate.
  • Understand the fundamentals of bunker / cargo operations within the region to maximize companies’ presence.

Requirements:

  • 3 + Years’ experience within a Bunker Trading House or Global Supplier working in Supply / purchasing / Back-to-back trading.
  • Strong knowledge of hedging tools and providing risk management within the Bunker/Marine Fuels/ Cargo Markets.
  • Knowledge of global trading hubs and major ports, especially within the Greek and MED geographies.
  • Ability to support customer / sales traders with enquiries efficiently and effectively whilst optimizing the companies GP.
  • Understanding of Cargo, Bunker, Marine fuel operations and key documentations, process required.
  • Located in Greece or willing to relocate.
