Title: Senior Dairy Trader (General Manager)
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Remote working (Europe, Middle East, Australia or USA) with travel to Asian Head Office.

Imperium Commodity Search is working with an Asian Food trading company with existing business across frozen food and meats, looking to build and establish a desk on Dairy products.

Open to various products across dry and solid/semi-solid dairy including butters, fats, powders, proteins etc. as long as the candidate has existing business to build upon. The role will initially be home based but there is scope to open a physical office in whichever destination candidate is based.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Generate business on Dairy products (fats, butter, liquids, milk powders) and manage trading book across global clients
• Travel to meet dairy producers, manufacturers, processors and FMCG companies to build relationships across the dairy space
• Network and attend conferences to promote the business and identify trading opportunities
• Trade milk powders/butter/cheese/liquids on a back-to-back basis
• Capitalise on existing food trading network of the company to sell dairy product into food production, nutrition and FMCG businesses
• Communicate with head office in Asia on all trade support matters including finance, logistics, operations etc.
• Work with management in Asia to create plans and strategies on how to grow/develop new business on dairy

Requirements:

• 7-10+ years’ dairy trading experience
• Existing client base across dairy producers, manufacturers, processors, and customers
• Proven experience successfully onboarding new clients and maintaining relationships in the dairy space
• Must have proven ability to set up a new desk and manage the process of growing the business on dairy
