Job Title:  Senior Dairy Trader
Salary: Negotiable

Imperium Commodity Search is working with a European agricultural and foods trading business looking to grow their dairy team across 2020 through the addition of a senior dairy trader in their Dutch office.  Our client primarily trades across butters and powders within the dairy space and is looking to extensively grow their dairy presence this year.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a global trading book across dairy products (butter, milk powders) on a back to back basis
  • Actively prospect, develop and onboard new business relationships on the sourcing and sales side across dairy products
  • Work closely with internal middle office operations and logistics teams to ensure timely execution of physical trades
  • Stay up to date with market analysis and commentary to capitalise on trading opportunities in the dairy space across Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa
  • Travel to meet with clients in the dairy space (producers, manufacturers, processors and FMCG companies) to establish sales lines across butter and powders
  • Identify new trading regions and opportunities in the dairy space across milk powders, butter and fats

Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ experience in a physical dairy trading position on a back to back basis
  • Proven experience in back to back trading of butters and milk powders
  • Customer base across either Europe, Asia, Africa or the Middle East
  • Good knowledge of physical dairy products
  • Fluent in English (additional language beneficial)
  • Located in the Netherlands or EU Passport
