Imperium Commodity Search is currently retained by a leading financial institute & commodity brokerage seeking a Senior Oil Options Broker to lead the European desk. The firm operates a global presence across commodity classes with 12+ global offices with the London division consisting of numerous desks covering multiple asset classes (Crude, Nat-Gas, Power, Renewables, Fuel Oil, Refined Products Etc). The company has a well-established crude options team within the Americas and APAC and looking to build out their European coverage to offer a global service to the market. With the ability to offer clients a full service offering across (risk management, clearing, 24hr execution desk, hedging solutions, DMA, consulting & advisory etc).

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage relationships with institutional clients; Banks, Hedge Funds, Prop-Shops, Trading Houses across the OTC-Listed Crude Oil options markets.
  • Execute trades by voice/electronic brokerage and ensure timely execution services to maintain and retain a client base in the Crude Oil Options space.
  • Keep up to date with market movements/analysis to provide trading advisory/analyst services to clients, with the view to executing trades and fulfilling trading plans
  • Head the European Crude Oil Options desk, identifying new business opportunities for the Global business unit working closely with the US & APAC Crude Teams to define and execute global strategies.
  • Promote, upsell and cross selling the company’s brokerage services (24hr execution desk, clearing, risk management, tailored hedging solutions)

Exerience:

  • 5+ years’ experience holding an Energy Brokerage position within an IDB/FCM/Bank covering Oil options.
  • Transferable portfolio of execution business within the Oil Options spaces across Hedge Funds, Prop-shops, Banks, financial institutes, Trading houses.
  • Proven record of developing profitable business within the Energy Brokerage markets exceeding 500k USD revenue per year
  • Ability to cross sell and upsell the company’s brokerage services and related market products (Clearing facilities, Tailored risk management solutions, Portfolio hedging solutions, 24hr execution services etc)
  • Experienced in producing Market/Pricing Reports to clients.
  • Relevant UK Broking certifications.
