Imperium Commodity Search is Retained by a Global Marine Fuels Trading business located in the principality of Monaco. For over 20 years the business has served its global clients in trading and brokering Bunkers and alternative fuel in international ports. With a strong presence within the MED and European sector, they continue to expand their business unit into new geographies. Further to their expansion in both Commercial and Military bunker markets, our client is seeking an experienced professional to establish a Cargo Trading desk focused on multiple products. (Fuel Oil, Gas Oil, Jet, Gasoline, Distillates etc)
The firm has a strong structure and platform to launch this new business unit from, with extended credit lines in place to and a strong network within the industry to utilise in the development of a global cargo business.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the sale and purchase of Cargos across (Fuel Oil, Gas Oil, Kerosene, Jet A1 and Distillates) managing the desks day to day trading
- Daily analyses of Fuel oil, Gas Oil, Jet A1 and related market rates and dealing with sales enquiries, processing quotations.
- Developing new relations within Fuel Oil, Gass Oil Cargo business from blue chip customers within the Shipping/Oil industry to suppliers and producers.
- Building influential relationships with banks and financial institutions offering credit finance.
- Identify new market opportunities within the MED, MENA, APAC and European markets to established profitable trading book.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5+years’ experience of trading Fuel Oil Cargo, Bunker, Marine Fuel, Marine Gas oil , Jet A1 and related distillates.
- Established network of business with proven PnL track record within the physical oil cargo sector.
- Key understanding of hedging and risk management tools to limit risk exposure and provide clients with data and analysis.
- Experience building and maintaining key accounts with both customers and suppliers within the Fuel Oil, Gas Oil and related Cargo Markets.
- Exceptional understanding of business development strategies with experience managing a book of business.
