Imperium Commodity Search is working exclusively with a Global Bunker trading company seeking a Senior Trader for their planned expansion into the Greek market. The company operates Physical Supply Via barge in the Baltics, With numerous offices within Europe trading Marine Fuels / Bunkers globally. With plans to open a new office in Greece to continue to expand their global presence with a focus on clients across Greece and the Mediterranean, they are seeking a Senior trader with a customer portfolio within these geographies combined with the ability to manage a junior team of traders on the Sales and Back to back trading desk.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the expansion of the companies trading and sales of Marine Fuels / Bunkers / Lubricants / MGO /LSFO / Fuel Oil activities within the MED.
  • Build and maintain client relations with Suppliers across local Greek ports as well as the wider Mediterranean market.
  • Manage and build out customer portfolio of Shipowners, Charters, Operators, Traders within the Marine Fuels / Bunker market.
  • Promote the companies Physical Supply operations within the Baltics to increase Marine fuel sales within the region, onboarding of new accounts for the company.
  • Negotiate Contract and spot trades and purchases of Marine fuel / Gas oil / Bunkers / Lubricants, managing team PnL.
  • Identify new business opportunities – Physical operations, Back to Back trading in Global ports, Supply Contracts etc to increase company revenue.
  • Manage and mentor junior traders within the new office to ensure desk is operating effectively and profitably.

Requirements:

  • 5+ Years’ experience within a Physical Supplier / Back to Back trading house with proven track record.
  • Strong Customer portfolio of Marine fuels / Bunker customers across Owners, Operators, Charterers, Traders etc.
  • Knowledge of global trading hubs and major ports, Especially within the Greek and MED geographies.
  • Experience in full Trading Cycle from enquiry to delivery, Ability to train Junior traders in the fundamentals and specific duties.
  • Ability to communicate with senior management and share holders to identify new business opportunities within the region.
  • Located in Greece or willing to work remotely.
