Job Title: Senior Bunker Trader

New opportunity for an experienced marine fuel and bunker trader to join an independent bunker trader/supplier to join their US team located in the New York area. The company has offices globally covering the Far East, APAC, EMEA and the United States, Specialising in handling bunker enquiries globally and providing fuel procurement services for their ever growing client base of ship owners, operators, charterers and traders.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for handling and executing bunker enquiries across the US and Globally for shipowners / Charters / Operators / Traders / Brokers.
  • Provide market trends and pricing analysis / reports on Fuel Oil, Gasoil, Bunkers, LSFO, MGO
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers and end users within the Major ports and geographies across the Americas.
  • Provide Hedging and Risk management services to you portfolio of clients with the Bunker, Lubricant, Marine Fuels, Fuel Oil, LSFO, MGO markets.
  • Provide bespoke Bunker and Fuel procurement services to Ship Owners operators across the Tanker, Bulk, Freight, Offshore sectors

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience of trading marine fuels, Bunkers, MGO, MFO, Lubricants, fuel oils.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management, Hedging tools and strategies within the Oil sector.
  • Impeccable knowledge of US ports, including bunkering and operational regulations including IMO 2020 is essential.
  • Market relations with Suppliers, Traders, Owners, Operators within the Bunker marker across the Americas and Globally.
  • Established portfolio of Customers with the ability to develop new business promoting the companies Bunker services.
