Job Title: Physical Middle Distillates/Products Broker

Imperium Commodity Search is exclusively retained by a small and growing physical energy brokerage headquartered in the Netherlands. With some recent structural changes, there is rapid growth in motion with numerous cross-sell and upsell opportunities arising for brokers within the business. As part of this growth, the need has arisen for an experienced middle distillates broker to continue to build out this area of the business utilising existing relationships and building new ones to drive revenue in the asset class.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for brokerage of Products/Middle Distillates across the European, ARA, NWE and MED Region.
- Establish strong relationships with refineries, suppliers and end users/customers across middle distillates/oil products (gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, kerosene, heating oil etc.)
- Keep up to date on market movements/analysis and economics to ensure strong market positioning across middle distillates/oil products
- Meet with prospective clients/build relationships at industry events and conferences to drive business development efforts in the middle distillates brokerage markets
- Ensure capture of opportunity for oil and products across the target geographies, striving to consistently grow revenues across the middle distillates book
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience in an oil/products/middle distillates brokerage or sales position
- Excellent network of refineries, producers, shipping and end users
- Fluent in English (written and verbal), additional languages beneficial but not required
- Experience in dealing in the oil sector across ARA, MED or NWE regions
- Good understanding of the market drivers behind oil product pricing/supply and demand
- Located in or able to relocate to Rotterdam, Netherlands
