Imperium Commodity Search is proud to be working with a global leader in soft and agricultural commodity brokerage looking to continue their exponential growth in the Asian markets through the addition of a Grain and Feed Ingredients Broker covering the Chinese mainland market.  Our client is a global machine with offices across the globe, the team is headed up by one of the most respected names in agricultural brokerage with a longstanding and profitable team.

This opportunity suits a broker or back to back trader who maintains relationships with both suppliers and customers of animal feed / grain products (wheat, corn, soybean etc) and can transition this to a multifaceted brokerage environment.  Our client offers both cash grain and futures business across a range of markets and the ability to upsell/cross-sell across product lines is huge.  With consolidation across the markets and a tightening remit across the space in APAC, this firm is on the rise and has recently hit numerous growth milestones and is continuing to grow its already impressive credentials in the Asian grain market.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Manage clients on both the supply and end user side of grains / animal feed and feed ingredients across Asia
• Provide best in class service to grain and feed market participants and execute cash/physical trades in a timely manner
• Work with internal teams to produce detailed research/analytics material to distribute to clients
• Utilise market knowledge and industry news/analysis to identify trading opportunities for feed ingredients trading houses, suppliers and end users
• Capitalise on opportunities to broker deals in the cash grains space and negotiate deals with both feed ingredient suppliers/producers and customers/clients
• Work closely with senior management on new market segments, products and identification of business opportunities
• Consistently develop new business and relationships in the feed ingredients space, ensuring that new relationships are onboarded and nurtured sufficiently
• Demonstrate the services of the company to all stakeholders and ensure that customers are provided with a quality and timely service at all times

Requirements:

• 3+ Years’ experience in a grain or feed ingredients / animal feed (corn, soybean meal, canola meal, cotton seed, pellets and hay) trading or brokerage position with a good book of customers/network in the space
• Excellent analytical skill set with the ability to write reports/commentary on the markets
• Proven track record in brokerage or trading environment across softs and agricultural commodity products, ideally with business in the feed grains space
• Fluent in English and Mandarin / Cantonese
• True desire to grow within a fast-growing and well-respected commodity brokerage
