Title: Non-Ferrous Scrap Trader (Sales Focus) 
Contract type: Permanent 
Location: Texas, USA 
Salary: Negotiable 

Imperium Commodity Search is working with a scrap metal trading firm in the US who are growing their sales/trading team at present in the US and Mexican markets.  Our client manages numerous assets on the ground across all non-ferrous and base metals (aluminium, copper, zinc, nickel, tin etc.) and is looking to add a sales focused trader in the US market to assist in their next phase of growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for business development across manufacturing and end user clients for the sale of non-ferrous scrap metals in the region
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers across the US and international markets
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing structures on non ferrous scrap metals, achieving beneficial margins and driving profit
  • Work with operation teams on stocks, quantities and supply to ensure materials are ready and shipped in a timely fashion
  • Stay up to date on market movements and analysis across base metals and actively sell product to capitalise on movements
  • Meet clients and develop trading/sales strategy across scrap aluminium, copper, zinc, tin and nickel

Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in a B2B sales position, ideally with relevant client base
  • 1-2+ years in scrap metal or metal markets would be beneficial
  • Personable and an ability to build relationships quickly
  • Proven track record in a sales/trading environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Fluent in English (Spanish would be an advantage)
