Job Title: Metal Logistics Operator
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Genoa, Italy
Salary: 20-25,000EUR
Imperium Commodity Search is working with a small base metal trading company based in Italy looking add a logistics operator/ executive to their team to support the operations of the trading desk.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for managing traffic operations and logistics
- Oversee letters of credit, Bill of lading and trade finance documentation is completed with external providers
- Take it upon yourself to make sure all operational process run smoothly and without issue to result in timely and efficient trades
- Liaise with front office teams to meet transport and passage expectations of base/ non-ferrous metal products and assist wherever required
- Maintain contact with shipping companies and ports to ensure all costs, paperwork/documents and contracts are all accurate and received in a well-timed manner
- Resolve any operational issues as they arise
Requirements:
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience within a logistics/operations position within a base/ non-ferrous metal trading house
- Sound knowledge of the trade finance procedure including letters of credit and trade documentation
- Prior exposure to communicating dealing with shipping companies and logistics suppliers
- Understanding of shipping/ fright and logistics processes
- Previous experience working closely with trading and front office employees
