These roles do not come around very often so Imperium Commodity Search is delighted to be retained to source an established Bunker/Marine Fuels trader to be at the helm of this Dynamic business. Driving relations with the world’s leading military and naval clientele to maintain their position as the strategic partner of choice. The firm has been offering intelligence and logistics services in over 100 plus countries for over a decade supporting deployments whether it be on Land, Sea, or Air.

This opportunity is more than your average Spot Bunker Trader opening! This role requires upmost integrity and ability to scope the landscape for the worlds armed forces and Governments supplying various NATO, US Navy, Asian, North American & Latin American defense forces with marine fuels to meet their requirements.

Note that this role is not suitable for commercial focused Traders, Defense experience (Military or Navy) only.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing trading strategy of Bunker / Marine fuels / MGO / MFO within global ports to meet the specific requirements for various NATO, Naval forces across the world.
• Day to Day management of military requirements for marine fuel / Bunkers maintaining existing relations and identifying new business opportunities.
• Concluding and negotiating supply contracts within global ports managing pricing, risk management and logistics from end-to-end.
• Continuous communication with Naval and military operators to ensure all requirements are met for their fleet.
• Ensure all trades are executed in a timely fashion with collaboration with the operations and finance departments.
• Stay up to date on industry regulations and standards of compliance.
• Utilize the company’s in-house tools across operations, pricing, logistics to ensure smooth execution of delivery.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a trading house or physical supplier of Marine fuels / Bunker / MFO / MGO/ New Fuels within the Military/Navy or defense sector globally.
• Experience dealing with Marine fuel operations within Global ports (Europe, Asia, Africa, US etc)
• Key knowledge of bunker operation regulations within various geographies
• Experience within key account management (Military or Navy account management beneficial)
• Fluent in English & Spanish (European languages beneficial)
