Job Title: Livestock Swaps Broker (Feed Cattle)
Salary: Negotiable (circa 80k AUD basic)

Imperium Commodity Search is representing a global financial institution and risk management broker with extensive experience across the soft commodity and agricultural markets in Australia and APAC markets.  As part of their sustained growth across the space, a requirement has arisen for a cattle/livestock broker with a good understanding of the Australian market to launch and grow a new cattle swaps product and bring this to market.

Our client is an experienced risk manager and brokerage to the international agri markets and as well as bringing this new swaps product to the livestock industry, there will be a general focus on risk management and execution of listed futures and OTC contracts on behalf of livestock and cattle market participants.

Responsibilities:

• Drive customer engagement in the cattle, feed cattle and livestock space
• Manage Risk Management on behalf of cattle traders, producers and market participants ensuring timely execution and accurate market advisory services
• Execute orders on behalf of clients on both OTC and listed markets (Swaps and Futures)
• Keep up to date with market movements and insight to offer valuable analysis to clients in the cattle and feed space
• Create cattle data insights for clients and distribute these for projects and business development purposes
• Develope new procedures and techniques for managing risk in the cattle, livestock and feed cattle markets for clients
• Offer upsell and cross sell products where applicable, onboarding clients to additional products and services of the brokerage

Experience:

• Good understanding of the cattle and livestock markets in Australia
• 2+ years’ experience in a cattle or livestock brokerage, risk or trading role
• Confident and personable approach; our client is a customer-centric provider of risk management and a considered approach to risk management strategies is required
• Understanding of futures, swaps or derivatives markets
• Fluent in English both written and verbal
• Good analytical skills with experience on advanced Excel mechanisms
• Degree educated in a relevant field (economics, agriculture, trade, commerce etc.)
