Job Title: Junior Crude Options Broker
Salary: Negotiable
Contract type: Permanent
Location: London, UK
As we continue to assist in the growth of an energy options desk with our London based client, a need has arisen for a junior crude options broker to join the team, working closely with the head of desk on developing and maintaining relationships across both corporate and institutional clients on crude oil options.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with corporate and institutional clients across crude oil (Brent and WTI) and promote the company’s service offering to them
- Keep up to date on market movements and analysis and assist the senior broker on the desk in circulating this with clients, putting together market commentary and analysis pieces to assist with business development and existing client trading decisions
- Execute orders on crude oil options (listed and OTC) in a timely manner via voice execution
- Work with the senior management on new product offerings, target markets and desk reach
- Ensure trades are settled and all internal/external operational and compliance frameworks are adhered to
- Meet with clients and travel when required
Requirements:
- 1-2 years experience in crude oil options
- Good understanding of voice execution and exchange processes
- Ability to build rapport with senior management
- Good understanding of the global crude markets and factors that influence these
- Excellent attention to detail and a sales driven attitude
- Genuine desire to learn and grow in a fast growing energy options desk
