Imperium Commodity Search is seeking a Junior Marine fuels trader to join for a market leading Trading house within the Oil & Energy markets. The company has developed a strong market share across the Bunker and Marine fuels sector, with Physical Supply locations and Trading offices strategically located globally servicing their customers’ requirements around the globe efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for working with the Senior Traders to handle Bunker sales enquiries for NWE and ARA region.
  • Undertake Sales training with the chance to work with and shadow a Senior trader on the team to learn the fundamentals of the Bunker / Marine industry.
  • Obtain knowledge of Key port pricing points, Trading Cycle, Derivatives and hedging tools.
  • Develop key understanding of Physical Bunker Deliveries and processes within the trade cycle for global B2B trading.
  • Develop personal customer portfolio of Customers (ship owners, Operators, Brokers, Traders)
  • Monitor bunker fixtures whilst assisting the other departments within the business such as Claims, Finance, Operations.

Experience:

  • 1 years + experience working within the marine fuels markets in a commercial Sales, Business development or trading capacity.
  • Desire to work in a fast past, Sales driven environment with the support of Senior traders within the business.
  • Understanding of basic trading and supply processes within the Bunker/marine fuels sector.
  • Fundamental knowledge of the shipping markets, key ports, analytics, and hedging.
  • Fluent in English (additional European Languages beneficial)
  • Located in Hamburg (or willing to relocate)
