Job Title:  Intraday Power Trader
Salary: Negotiable
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Germany

New opportunity for an experienced Power and Gas Trader to join an innovative trade house based in Germany. The company prides themselves on their ability to develop strategies and offer unique  approaches to the ever-changing market. The front office team have developed a strong market share within the European & Continental power and gas markets whilst constantly developing niche trade ideologies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing algorithmic trade strategies across the Continental & European Power & Gas Markets.
  • Day to Day trader of power and gas across the European power markets (German, French, Italian, UK etc)
  • Extensive knowledge of European Power and Gas markets working with Research houses and brokers providing risk and analytical insights to clients.
  • Understanding of cross boarder power trading and exchanges (TTF, Nord Pool, EPEX, XBID, OMIE etc)
  • Working alongside the various desks in the business, Operations, Risk department, Program developers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ Years intraday trading on the power and gas markets with a Utility or trade house.
  • Key knowledge of proprietary and asset back trading strategies within the Energy markets.
  • Experience building and maintaining relations with the suppliers and Customers within the corporate and institutional power sector.
  • Exceptional understanding / ability to assist on the development of algorithmic trade strategies.
  • Fluent in English (additional European language beneficial)
