Job Title:  Ingredients (Starch) Trader
Salary: Negotiable

Imperium Commodity Search is assisting a global trading house with strong market presence in the Agricultural sector, Covering Sugar, Ingredients and Dairy. The company is currently seeking and ingredients trader with specialist focus on the starches market to continue the growth of their successful desk. The role will be located within the London office working aligned with the companies diverse trading teams globally.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Actively trade Physical Ingredient products focused on the Starch Sector (Cornstarch, Tapioca, Wheat starch, Rice starch etc)
  • Develop new relationships with producers, suppliers and Co-operatives across Europe, Asia and US to maximize purchasing potential ensure quality products to meet client demands globally.
  • Trade futures and financial products on exchanges whilst upselling the company’s risk management offerings.
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution and delivery of trades communication with in house operations and back office teams.
  • Provide market and price analysis on the global starch markets and related products (Wheat, Corn, Rice) to provide market reports to suppliers and Customers.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in an Ingredients trading role for a Trade house, Producer or Supplier with experience  within the starch and related product markets.
  • Good understanding of operations and analytical tasks within a trading company ensuring all documentations and trade orders executed effectively.
  • Experienced across a range of food/feed ingredients and additives including sugar, dairy and starches.
  • Strong relations with Agricultural products/ Ingredients suppliers within the European, Asian and US markets.
  • Fluent in English (Another Language highly desirable)
