Title: Head of Specialty Fertilizers / Water Soluble
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Zurich / Zug, Switzerland
Salary: Negotiable
Imperium Commodity Search is working with an international trading house looking to grow their specialty fertilizer trading desk.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the back to back specialty fertilizer / fertiliser trading desk
- Build and maintain relationships on the sales side, actively promoting specialty products (water soluble fertilizer) to farms, agro participants and end users
- Manage sourcing relationships with suppliers across Europe/Asia, specifically China, and negotiate supply agreements for specialty fertilizer products / water solubles (Nitrates, Sulphates and Phosphates)
- Work closely with senior management on the identification and execution of new markets / areas
- Keep up to date with market analysis/movements in the specialty fertilizer space
- Develop relationships in English / Spanish speaking markets
Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience in specialty / water soluble fertilizer trading on a back to back / end to end basis
- Strong knowledge of specialty products / fertilizer with the ability to sell to clients on a technical level
- Agronomist knowledge/experience preferred
- Strong sourcing relationships with suppliers in Europe/Asia/China
- Fluent in English and Spanish
