Head of Operations

Job Title: Head of Operations
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Bristol (can be remote)
Salary: £60,000GDP

Imperium Commodity search are working with a leading environmental compliance provider, looking to bring on a Head of Operations to manage a team of 12 across their technical and procurement functions.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Provide leadership to the technical and procurement team, managing projects and team plans cross the operations team to increase overall proficiency of the desk
• Guide the procurement team and offer assistance in generating new businesses by directing procurement approach
• Ensure data of both buyer and supplier is accurate by implementing assurance procedures for quality
• Responsible for developing operational plan for core services carried out by the technical team across data supervision, extended producer responsibility (EPR) and compliance matters
• Represent client at any required external events and meetings
• Work closely with other departments and external management
• Create campaigns to work towards achieving a bigger environmental impact

Requirements:

• Must have at least 5 years relevant operational experience within a waste management organisation
• Must have awareness of procurement methodology
• Excellent working knowledge of the waste management industry
• High degree of financial understanding
• Proven leadership experience within the waste industry
• Must be willing to travel to meet clients when necessary
• Good understanding of waste recycling compliance
• If not located in Bristol, must travel to the office for a few days per week
