Job Title: Head of Credit (Marine Fuels)
Salary: Negotiable

Location: Europe/European Union/UK/EEA | Remote/WFH

Imperium Commodity Search is working exclusively with a Global Supplier & Trading firm seeking an experienced Head of Credit / Credit controller for the company’s marine fuel business. With 4 global offices and physical operations across strategic geographies the firm has gone through continuous expansion over the last few years, with this comes the need to strengthen their finance and middle office division across Greece, Cyprus and London.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the company’s risk and credit limits for the firms’ trading activities across Bunkers and Marine fuels.
  • Monitor the full process for credit lines and credit terms across Europe for Trading and bunker supply business.
  • Review and implement policies and procedures internally for Credit adhering to all financial regulations.
  • Work closely with the firm’s senior management to recommend credit and risk procedures for their trading activities.
  • Liaise with front office traders and financial institutes / banks to oversee all credit lines and credit functions.
  • Evaluate active accounts and credit offering to limit risk and potential loses for the company.
  • Produce internal reports on credit and risk to present to internal senior management and shareholders.

Requirements:

  • 4 + years’ experience within a head of credit / credit controller position within the Oil / Bunker / marine fuel / lubricant sector.
  • Understanding financial policies and regulations related to international oil trading
  • Masters / Bachelor degree within Finance / International Trade / Business Administration etc
  • Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of reviewing and structuring credit terms.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages beneficial)
  • Located in Greece or willing to work remotely.
