Title: Grain Trader

Salary – 80-150,000USD
Imperium Commodity Search is working with a domestic US agricultural trading house looking to grow their Midwest team across wheat and corn trading. Our client is looking to add an experienced grain trader to their existing desk in Kansas to increase their truck and rail exposure across the Midwest USA.
Responsibilities:
- Trade in grain products (corn, wheat and soybean) across the domestic US market
- Actively promote relationships with producers and elevators across the US
- Work with the marketing team on developing relationships with processors and end users
- Work with the logistics/operations team to ensure smooth operations of the trading book
- Assist the agricultural market analysts in the business to identify new trading opportunities and risk across the portfolio.
- Manage own PnL and increase the companies truck and rail exposure across the Midwest
Experience:
- 3-5 years experience with a domestic grain trading firm across wheat, corn and soybean
- Strong knowledge of the Midwest grain markets with a solid understanding of logistics/operations
- Comfortable on truck and rail operations
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Good understanding of the local US/Canadian market
