Title: Gasoline Trader (OTC / Market Making /Prop Trading)

Salary – Negotiable (Strong base + bonus/split)

Imperium Commodity Search is currently working with an Innovative market leading trading company in the capital. The firm specialises within the Energy Space in market making and prop trading functions combined with innovative technology and forward-thinking market strategies. Our client is currently expanding their trading desk due to continuous success and market growth, currently seeking an experienced OTC Gasoline Trader to join their ambitious team. The candidate requires successful proprietary trading experience or proven record of market making experience across commodity sector, refined products experience in particular Gasoline exposure highly desirable.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Establish and build profitable portfolio of business within the OTC Gasoline markets globally.
  • Market Making within the Refined products sector covering Corporates / Institutions / FCM’s / Brokers / Producers.
  • Produce live market reports and pricing for clients across the Gasoline and Refined Products space – Compiling live data from research houses / Analysts.
  • Proprietary Trading exposure and strategy where required in the Gasoline market to capitalise on increasing desk revenue.
  • Execution of Gasoline OTC trades across both corporate and institutional clients working closely with operations team.
  • Work with senior management to identify market flow’s and trends to produce innovative Trading / Market Making strategies on Gasoline derivatives.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience covering OTC products within the Energy market across a front office Trading / Market Making role.
  • Excellent knowledge of energy markets, with strong understanding of voice and electronic execution functions on derivative products.
  • Proven PnL / Revenue generation within the commodities markets (Energy, Refined Products, Gasoline – Desirable)
  • Experience or exposure to proprietary trading & market strategies within derivative products
  • Exceptional knowledge of coding / Systems across VBA, Python, R, C++, C# etc
  • Willing to work within a fast paced, Driven, entrepreneurial team located in London (UK)
