Imperium Commodity Search is exclusively representing an established brokerage and their new/growing energy desk as they look to add a TTF/Gas Options broker to their London team.  The energy desk has just been established with an experienced options broker and to facilitate the next phase of growth the requirement has arisen for further options brokers across the energy spectrum to join the existing desk.  For this particular vacancy, our client is seeking an options broker with an established book of clients in the Dutch Gas/TTF options space.

You will work in a small but experienced team, focused on building a new desk/product range and going to market to build this out with clients.  The company has around 15 heads on the desk across all products in London right now but is looking to make this 18-20 with the expansion of the newly established energy team.  You won’t be sat on a desk left to your own devices, you will work as a team to build something meaningful and grow the firm’s capabilities to compete at the top end of the market.

PLEASE NOTE: Our client is purely focused on Options business and is only looking to speak with options brokers for this opportunity.  Swaps/Futures will not fit the current mandate.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain relationships with corporate and institutional clients with a trading interest on Dutch Gas/Natural Gas and TTF (Title Transfer Facility) and grow the brokerage revenues from TTF options execution
• Provide voice/electronic execution and brokerage services to TTF/Gas clients and actively generate/grow revenue streams across options contracts
• Work with senior management and desk head on new client acquisition and PnL/Revenue growth, identifying new clients and ways to increase revenue with existing gas options brokerage clients (trading houses, utilities, hedge funds, CTA’s, prop traders, speculators etc.)
• Contribute to market analysis/advisory script/marketing material and distribute this to clients
• Offer value added services and ensure the highest of customer service levels to compete in a very competitive market
• Work with senior management on new product ideas/client targets and acquisitions/business development
• Keep up to date with market movements, news and industry updates/conferences to capitalise on business development, brokerage and sales opportunities
• Provide timely and accurate options execution services on TTF/Gas and Energy products, deputising for head of desk when required and operating across the energy space (including EUA’s, coal, gas, products, emissions etc.) where required

Experience:

• 3-5+ years’ experience in gas brokerage with a good knowledge of TTF options
• Excellent understanding of options contracts and the relevant European exchanges
• Sales driven personality with the desire to build a personal book of revenue and grow personal commissions
• Good knowledge of the Natural Gas and TTF markets
• Transferable book of clients/contacts in the space with a book of execution led options revenues
• Located in London or happy to relocate
