Title: Food/Meat Trader
Contract type: Permanent
Location: US/Remote
Salary: 50/50 Commission basis
Imperium Commodity Search is working with an established fresh and frozen meat trader based in the US looking to expand their trading team through the addition of a trader to their one of their US locations or remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for trading fresh and frozen food products (pork, beef, chicken or turkey)
- Develop relationships with producers/farmers across North and South America across fresh and frozen foods
- Market pork, beef, chicken or turkey across North/South America
- Network to build new relationships with meat producers for sale of product into South America
- Stay well connected with market news and trends to capitalise on trading opportunities
- Liaise with senior management on product strategy and ways to develop market coverage across fresh and frozen meats (pork, beef, chicken and/or turkey)
Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience trading on a back to back basis across agricultural food products
- Sound knowledge of North/ South American markets across fresh and frozen food products
- Good connections with producers/farmers and ends users
- Transferable portfolio of business is essential
- Can grow and manage their own book of fresh and frozen meat
- Additional languages required
