Imperium Commodity Search is proud to be partnered with one of the global leaders in Dairy risk management/broker services. We are assisting our client in the next phase of growth of their desk as they look to add a desk/execution broker to their Dairy team in Singapore

Responsibilities:

• Support the dairy desk by providing both voice & electronic brokerage services, whether exchange traded or OTC
• Working with an established client base & ensuring the company’s high service levels are maintained, while identifying and pursuing opportunities for further value creation
• Act as a customer service expert in a front office role, liaising with dairy trading, producer, downstream & speculative participants on execution strategy, ensuring accurate and timeliness
• Where required, meet with clients in Singapore and assist with entertaining/onboarding, acting as a local point of contact for the desk
• Learn the ins & outs of the dairy markets from experienced desk head, gaining a solid understanding of the pressures faced by corporate dairy market participants in the area
• Provide general support to the wider desk and operate within a small team of specialists, running as a profit centre within an established and wide reaching cross commodity brokerage office
• Present the brand professionally, showing a true desire to assist clients in their risk management needs, showing a passion for the dairy markets, industry and the firms product offering
• Offer first class customer service at all times, representing the brands identity, ideals and marketing to its best in an developing and ever discerning dairy market
• Circulate & delineate market data and commentary from a world class research team, assisting with data presentation and questions/queries in this regard

Experience:

• 2-3+ years’ experience in a trade execution/brokerage position, executing trades on a screen within a derivatives brokerage set up. Voice brokering an advantage
• Good understanding of futures/options contracts, ideally within agricultural commodity markets
• Excellent communication skills in English language are critical, additional languages would be a bonus (particularly Mandarin)
• Desire to learn and grow within the niché dairy markets, building out an understanding of the risk management requirements and price pressures that dairy producers, traders and end users face in the APAC/Asian region
• Good understanding/ability to read market data, reports and commentary
• Accuracy and punctuality – Timely and accurate execution experience is key
• Located in Singapore/EP or available in short time.
