Imperium Commodity Search is retained by the securities division of a global financial holding business in the United States.  With recent aggressive growth across their securities sales and execution business, the firm are growing in a number of asset classes with Energy being a top priority.  Working with a down to earth team and a rapidly growing name in the markets, you will be managing a book of corporate energy clients providing risk management, hedging and execution brokerage services with a true ‘boots on the ground’ approach to business development and client interactions.

Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for growing the energy desk through ‘soft’ business development, hedging advisory and execution brokerage sales
• Manage voice and electronic execution in futures & options on the CME, ICE and EEX
• Provide a consultative approach to client hedging and futures execution requirements, working with corporate clients in the oil & gas space (refineries, logistics, end users, producers, E&P, renewables etc.)
• Keep up to date on market movements in the energy space within your niche (oil, products, distillates, natural gas, coal, gasoline, fuel oil, naphtha, LPG, LNG, NGLs etc.)
• Work with senior management on overall desk growth, market penetration and service development
• Produce and distribute commentary to corporate clients within the asset class where required, and provide soft hedging advisory and risk management expertise

Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience in an Energy Brokerage position with a IDB/FCM with exposure to Futures/Swap/Options/Listed contracts
• Transferable portfolio of execution business within an Energy asset class (oil, distillates, products, fuel oil, natural gas etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of the trading area of your book within energy with a good understanding of market movements and trading mechanics
• Proven record of developing profitable business within the Energy Brokerage markets exceeding 250-500k USD revenue per year
• Ability to drive further revenue through cross-sell and upsell of products and services within energy brokerage, advisory, execution and sales
