Imperium Commodity Search is working with an established Dry Cargo Shipbroking company within the Mediterranean, with over a decade of experience supporting international trading companies transport their products globally. The company offers its charter services across all major international ports – the company specialises in the Panamax and Ultramax markets with multiple offices located across the globe. Our client is seeking an experienced broker to join their desk in Greece.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relations with ship owners, Trading Houses, Suppliers, Operators within the dry cargo sector.
  • Responsible for negotiating and handling Spot and contract charter for Handymax, Panamax and Ultramax vessels globally.
  • Promote the company’s chartering services to international trading houses / Producers within the Metal Ores, Coal, Grains,
  • Understand and provide accurate data including Pricing / Freight Rates / Charter Costs for Various regions and vessels.
  • Experienced in managing and closing contract negotiations with traders / operators / owners within the Dry Bulk markets.

Experience:

  • 3 + years’ experience as a Shipbroker within an International brokerage Covering the Dry markets.
  • Previous experience building relations with Ship Owners / Trading houses / suppliers / Producers.
  • Be able to promote and manage the company’s offerings of Spot Charter / Contracts for Handymax, Panamax & Ultramax vessels.
  • Knowledge of International shipping law and legal documentations.
  • Fluent in English (Greek or another language highly desirable)
