Job Title: Dry Bulk Operations Manager
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Antwerp (Belgium)
Salary: Negotiable 

Imperium Commodity Search is working with a Global Ship Management & Owner within the Dry Bulk market. The group operates out of their 5 Global offices covering Mainland Europe, Greece and Russia. With a dry Bulk fleet covering Panamax, Supramax, Ultramax. They are currently seeking an experienced Dry Bulk Operations Manager to work on the HandySize sector in Antwerp.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage Day to Day Operations for the groups Dry Bulk Carriers covering their Handy Size Fleet.
  • Deal with letters of credit, Pre-Fixture and Pos-fixture documentation for the business to run on time.
  • Ensure smooth operations process to facilitate timely and accurate Vessel loading and voyage.
  • Build relations with Port Captains, Charterers and Trading companies to ensure the business is partner of Choice.
  • Liaise with ports/port authorities and ensure all contracts, paperwork and documentation is accurate and received/sent in a timely manner
  • Understand Dry Bulk Market products Inc Coal, Grains, Iron Ore etc and their shipping requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years Operations Management experience within a ship owner, ship Management or trading house.
  • Good understanding of relevant shipping documentation including pre-fixture and post-fixture processes.
  • Prior experience Liaising with port authorities in all major shipping channels.
  • Experience in the Dry Bulk Market – Coal, Iron Ore & Grains would be advantages.
  • English is essential (Another language would be Beneficial)
