Job Title: Desk Head – Nat Gas Derivatives Broker

Imperium Commodity Search are working in partnership with an established independent commodity markets firm with growing presence within the Energy derivatives space continuing to increase market share across futures, options, swaps. Head officed in the States offering a new approach and culture to a competitive sector – Most recently opening their UK office, they are currently seeking a Senior Natural Gas Broker to build a successful team around covering European Markets.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for broking / brokering Natural Gas Derivatives across Swaps / Options / Futures within the European Market.
  • Establish Strong Relations Energy suppliers, Producers, Corporates, Banks, Utilities & Institutions.
  • Build presence for the company’s derivative product offerings & brokerage services to TTF/Gas (Title Transfer Facility) clients.
  • Offer risk management services & hedging solutions across the Natural Gas and Products markets on Futures, Options, Swaps.
  • Offer Voice / Electronic Execution and brokerage services within the European & Continental Gas Markets.
  • Identify related product offerings such as Emissions / Carbon / LNG / JKM products to clients to increase desk revenues.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience within an Energy brokerage Covering European Nat-Gas.
  • Experience developing profitable portfolio of business across Energy Derivative products (Swaps / Futures / Options / Swaptions)
  • Proven track record of Managing Client relations across Corporate and institutions within the Natural Gas Sector.
  • Strong understanding risk management & Hedging functions, ability to Tailor product & service offerings to meet customer requirements.
  • Desire to be part of a growing dynamic team, with skill set to build and manage a success desk.
