Title: Commodity Trader/ Sales Manager
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Europe (20% travel to Lithuania)
Salary – Negotiable depending on experience

Imperium Commodity Search is working with the newly established Trading arm of a European logistics and Transport company, looking to add a trader/ salesperson to their team. The successful candidate will be required to travel for a week a month to their office in Vilnius and have a book of business either within Ferroalloys or Agriculture/Grains.

Responsibilities:

  • Physical trading/sales of Ferroalloys/Grains (wheat, corn, rice, barley, oats) across Europe, Middle East, Asia, Africa, US/ LatAm
  • Negotiate the best deals with Ferroalloy and Grain suppliers globally to secure highest profit margins, continuing to manage order process throughout
  • Seek out new trading opportunities within the market while building new relationships and servicing the needs of existing ones across Ferroalloys/Grains including wheat, corn, rice, barley, oats
  • Travel to meet clients across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia, US/ LatAm where necessary to expand portfolio of business across ferroalloys/ Grains
  • Work with the logistics, admin and finance teams to ensure transport of products is efficient and on time
  • Work with internal teams to develop new trading strategies to open up new areas to develop business

Experience:

  • Have 4+ years’ experience within a sales/ trading environment within a commodity company
  • Have exposure to Ferroalloys/ Agriculture/Grains markets within a sales/trading position
  • Able to bring an established client base
  • Understanding of the logistics side to trading very beneficial
  • Excellent knowledge of either Metals/ Agriculture market internationally
  • Must speak English, Other languages beneficial
