Title: Coffee Trader

Imperium Commodity Search is working with coffee trading firms in multiple locations in the United States seeking experience physical coffee traders.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow relationships with coffee farmers/producers across North/South America and Africa
- Purchase coffee (Robusta/Arabica) and develop contracts, negotiating a competitive price and working with internal operations teams on smooth and timely delivery
- Build relationships with end-users and market roasted coffee products into across wholesalers, supermarkets, coffee processors etc.
- Where required, market green coffee into roasters and maintain strong relationships across the USA coffee roasting space
- Develop physical trading book across coffee and manage own PnL
- Work closely with senior management to advance coffee trading desk
- Communicate with operations and logistics department to guarantee timely trading
- Stay connected with market changes and news to held benefit coffee trading behaviour
Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience working in a trading house covering coffee
- Back to back trading experience with green coffee (Arabica & Robusta)
- Experience managing own PnL on a back to back (B2B) coffee trading desk
- Good understanding of the coffee market
- Proven network of relevant relationships across North/ South America and Europe
