Clearing Sales – Energy

Imperium Commodity Search is currently assisting a leading futures/options brokerage in Singapore with extensive clearing/execution capabilities across the commodities space.   Due to the growth in their energy business through the increased interest around LNG markets around Singapore, the opportunity for an experienced futures clearing salesperson/broker has arisen.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing business with corporate and institutional clients in the region for commodity clearing services
• Work with senior management on growth areas of the business (primarily energy)
• Liaise with external exchanges and clearing houses/regulators where required
• Provide clearing services to exchange listed and OTC market participants in Singapore and surrounding area
• Distribute marketing and analytical material to client and prospect list
• Work with clients on trading ideas/research and provide relevant futures/options trading advisory services
• Upsell and cross-sell brokerage services across the firm and its products
• Meet with clients where required for business development purposes

Experience:

• 5 years’ experience in the energy brokerage space (oil, gas, LNG, LPG, coal etc)
• Network of clients in the energy space with an interest in clearing capabilities
• Experienced in clearing exchange-traded products on behalf of corporate and institutional clients
• Book of execution/clearing clients ideal
• Fluent in English (other languages beneficial but not necessary)
• Strong knowledge of the Asian energy markets
• Analytical and reporting skills/acumen
• Proven ability to build relationships at senior levels within corporate energy clients in the Asian markets
• Located in Singapore or happy to relocate
