Imperium Commodity Search is retained by one of the fastest growing financial institutions and commodity brokerages in the world as they continue to grow their energy business across North America.  As part of this growth and recent acquisitions, expansion plans are afoot on their thriving, multi-asset clearing team.  To complement growing desks across the energy complex (oil, gas, renewables, distillates, cargo etc.) they are currently seeking a clearing sales professional to join the team in New York, Houston or remotely within the US.

Our client is an investment grade clearing house which offers a strong draw over base with excellent cross-sell opportunities in a range of asset classes and products.  Primary client focus on energy clearing is funds, CTA’s and institutional clients.

Responsibilities:

• Manage clearing accounts with clients trading in the energy, oil and gas space; increasing revenue generation from clearing capabilities in the institutional trading energy markets
• Onboard an established portfolio of energy clearing business to the firm, managing existing flow and increasing market coverage across energy clearing
• Work with other desks to up-sell and cross-sell the firms offering across risk management, execution and clearing services
• Maintain and grow relationships with new and existing clients, showcasing the market leading clearing and execution services that the firm offers
• Work with senior management on project work, new client on-boards and target markets
• Meet with clients and build relationships across clearing and/or execution business

Experience:

• Demonstrable experience managing accounts in a clearing house or brokerage within the energy space
• Transferable portfolio of energy clearing business (in excess of 750k-1MM USD)
• Good network of institutional clients (funds, CTAs, PTGs etc.) within energy business
• Good understanding of the energy trading, clearing and execution space in oil, gas, renewables, distillates etc.
• Strong commercial mindset with a desire to work in a quickly growing and diversified financial institution
