Job Title: Physical Grain / Commodity Broker
Salary: Dependant on Experience/Track Record

Location: Shanghai City, China
Imperium Commodity Search is working with a large multinational multi-commodity brokerage looking to grow their operations across APAC through the addition of a cash grain / commodity broker covering the Chinese markets across agricultural commodities, offering origination, sourcing and sales side services to physical grains market as well as up-selling risk management and hedging advisory services to corporate clients across the region.

Responsibilities:
·Monitoring and providing market intelligence and updates for grains clients in the region
·Provide market commentary and advisory services to the cash grains/commodity market in China
·Work with traders, operators and in-house stakeholders to keep them updated on market movements and volatility in a timely and responsive fashion
·Negotiate deals on behalf of clients across price, specification and delivery structures
·Look at new opportunities within the cash grains market in China and work with management/other teams to establish routes to entry/capitalise on potential opportunities
·Offer first-class customer service to grains clients in APAC / China, offering a one to one service and extending the brand across external stakeholders
·Represent the firm at local conferences and client meetings
·Travel to meet with clients, establishing new relationships and nurturing existing ones to ensure strong and long lasting grain relationships
Experience:
·3+ Years + experience as an agricultural/soft commodity physical/cash broker or trader
·Excellent knowledge of the Chinese grain and feed ingredients space with experience on relationships in China in this space
·Experience on expanding revenue streams with value-added products with a trading house/brokerage or market intelligence firm
·Good understanding of INCOTERMS and other trade regulatory systems (GAFTA etc)
·Ability and experience of travelling to meet and build relationships with trade houses and similar in the Chinese Grains/Commodity markets
·Fluent in Mandarin/English
