Job Title:  Carbon / Emissions Broker

Imperium Commodity Search is assisting in the development of a Brand New Carbon / Emissions Brokerage Desk, Covering European Markets. The company has recently expanded its presence within Europe offering OTC Energy products within the Oil & Gas Sector,  in relation to its to its strong market presence in the US. With the continued growth of their business model to support their client base they are currently seeking a senior Carbon / Emissions Broker to set up their presence in the UK in relation to their Power / Nat-Gas Desks development.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for establishing company’s presence within the European Carbon / Emissions OTC market place.
  • Day to Day Broking of EUAs / EU ETS / NOX and So2 Allowances as well as a range of other Futures products.
  • Provide Tailored brokerage and consultancy services to Global Corporate clients within the Energy sector to assist them meeting end goals.
  • Managing Client relations structuring and executing trades within the Carbon and Emissions OTC market.
  • Communicating with the Power and Gas desks understanding market flows from TTF and other platforms to provide accurate Market Data and price spreads.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience broking Carbon Offset Credits, EUAs / EU ETS or related products.
  • Experience building an established Profitable portfolio with European Utilities, Majors, Corporates, Banks, Funds, Trading Houses.
  • Exceptional understanding of Derivative products covering Futures, Swaps, Options across the OTC market.
  • Extensive knowledge of Contract negotiations and structuring complex deals with Carbon / Emissions Derivatives.
  • Located in the UK (or willing to relocate)
