Imperium Commodity Search is working with an independent physical supplier within the Bunker / Marine fuels industry dealing from multiple locations globally. With IMO 2020 in full force, our client is looking for an experienced back to back trader to establish new business from their office in Cyprus.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for establishing new business within Bunkers / Marine Fuel / MFO / MGO / Lubricants not limited in location
- Oversee the back to back trading desk for bunker / marine fuel and lubricants
- Handle bunker enquiries globally liaising with the operations department to ensure timely and efficient execution of deliveries.
- Essential to build key relations with physical suppliers / terminals for the sourcing of bunker / marine fuel
- Capitalise on trading opportunities by maintaining knowledge of market trends and news
Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in a back to back bunker / marine fuel trading position
- Transferrable book of business with a network of established clients is imperative
- Comprehensive knowledge of new 2020 legislation in bunker markets
- Understand hedging and pricing tools to facilitate effective trading of bunker / marine fuels
- Fluent in English (Additional language would be preferable)
