Job Title: Branch Manager | Senior Broker (Energy Brokerage)

Imperium Commodity Search is exclusively working with a Market leading International Commodity Brokerage with strong presence within the Energy futures and options market. The company has seen extensive growth over the last couple of years becoming a leading business within the crude & nat-gas space, currently operating multiple offices across the US and Europe. Due to this growth over  recent years they are seeking a broker with a series 30 NFA license holding branch manager status for the Houston office, responsible for overseeing their activities and growth within the Energy Markets.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for holding the Branch Manager status for the Houston office, working closely with the COO and senior partners in NY.
  • Manage the day-day operations of the Houston office collaborating with the senior brokers to identify new business opportunities within the Energy & Renewables markets.
  • Analysing all trade executions across physical and Financial Energy products – Monitoring efficiency and regulatory stats.
  • Assist Brokers / Senior management on the Drafting of Oil & Gas Trade contracts (Physical & Financial).
  • Offer voice / electronic execution services to Energy clients across a variety of different markets (Crude, Natural Gas, Refined Products, Crude Grades, Light Ends etc)
  • Review of platforms and technologies used by Brokers Such as ICE Chat / Bloomberg / Phone logs are compliant.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience working within a Commodity Brokerage (Metals, Energy, Agriculture) holding the Branch manager status.
  • Understanding of the technologies and platforms operated within a commodity brokerage (ICE Chat, NYMEX, Bloomberg etc (Beneficial)
  • Experience in working with Senior Management (COO, Directors, Senior Partners, Senior Brokers) ensuring all business is “by the book” compliant and regulated.
  • Series 3 license & Series 30 NFA exams required.
  • Desire to work within an innovative and dynamic business with support to further growth opportunities, building out the Houston office further in terms of headcount and expanding into related markets.
  • Efficiency in analyzing data and logging reports to present to senior management.
  • Located in Houston (or willing to relocate)
