Job Title: Biodiesel Broker (Physical/Derivative)
Salary: 100-150,000USD (negotiable)
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Houston (or Remote), USA
Our Houston based client is a diversified energy brokerage across both physical and paper products. The firm has grown into new area’s and business interests steadily over the last 10 years and to assist their next phase of growth is looking to add a biodiesel broker to the team in Houston / USA.
Our client is looking to add an experienced broker with a good network in the biodiesel space across the US, Canada and Americas across both physical brokerage and risk management, hedging and futures business with corporate and institutional clients.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Broker deals within physical biodiesel in the domestic US/American market
- Maintain strong relationships with biodiesel producers, traders and purchasers, developing deep rooted relationships through a process of understanding and trust building
- Monitor market movements across biodiesel, supplying clients with up to date and relevant market commentary and insights
- Provide risk management services to biodiesel market participants across both listed and OTC business through the provision of futures/derivative trading advisory/structuring and execution (voice and electronic)
- Actively grow the biodiesel desk and its market through engagement with clients/prospects
- Promote and cross-sell products of the firm across physical brokerage
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in biodiesel products
- Excellent knowledge of futures/options and risk management products
- Experience in building relationships with biodiesel market participants across both corporate and institutional clients
- Fluent in English
- A seasoned business developer with rapport building ability
