Job Title: Senior Aluminum Scrap Trader
Salary: Negotiable
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Balitmore, USA (or remote in the USA)
Imperium Commodity Search is working with one of the largest Aluminium / Aluminum scrap metal brokers in the United States with a primary focus on the US domestic physical trading markets. Our client is looking to expand the trading desk with the addition of an experienced Aluminium Scrap Trader. Our client specializes within Aluminum Scrap and is a major supplier to the domestic scrap sector as well as providing industry leading physical and futures aluminum and metals market information.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sourcing and trading aluminum scrap across the US domestic metal market
- Execution of physical metal (scrap aluminum) trades managing relations with scrap metal suppliers, dealers, and manufacturers.
- Maintaining knowledge of the non-ferrous and scrap metals markets in the US providing thorough analysis and exploiting trade opportunities
- Build relationships with end-user customers developing upon the group’s existing portfolio and creating a profitable book of business to challenge the PnL targets set out
- Maintaining relationships with aluminium scrap customers and creating solutions through customizing quantities, logistics, quality, and price
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years in trading, sourcing, or sales of aluminum scrap and non-ferrous scrap metals within the US domestic market.
- Outstanding knowledge of US domestic market trends and trading strategies within aluminum and non-ferrous metals
- Experience of creating and fostering relationships with suppliers and end-user customers within the scrap metals industry
- Demonstrable PnL record with transferrable book of business
- Located in Baltimore, Maryland. Ideally office based, however, remote working will be considered with regular trips to the office required
